Join us for Party on the Bricks—a brand-new summer series on the Church Street Marketplace!
Each week, the party pops up on a different block of the Marketplace, spotlighting one of our amazing Marketplace restaurants and featuring a band or performer. Think patio dining, dancing in the street, cold drinks, good friends, and warm summer nights—all right here in the heart of Burlington.
When: Thursdays, 5:30-8 pm, July & August, with bands starting at 6pm
Whether you're a regular on Church Street or just visiting, Party on the Bricks is your invitation to experience the best of our downtown community—one Thursday (and one block) at a time. Free to attend. Families, friends, children, neighbors, visitors, furry friends - all are welcome! Come hungry, come thirsty, come happy, and come ready to party!

Troy Millette & the Fire Below
Vermont’s Troy Millette & the Fire Below are equally thoughtful and lively– a cocktail of rock, pop, folk, and Americana music that grapples with love, loss, and the human experience. Millette’s emotive and relatable lyrics, as well as his energetic, banter-filled live performances, have made him a staple of dives, clubs, theaters, and festivals across the northeast United States and Quebec.

Halvroson's will be serving up classic comfort food, local craft beer, and creative cocktails. From stacked burgers and crispy Brussels sprouts to fresh salads, tacos, and steak frites, there’s something for everyone, including gluten-free and vegetarian options. Sip your way through Vermont’s best brews or try one of their signature cocktails.

Moonbird
With newcomer and powerhouse vocalist Frankie Napolitano out front and backed by a band of seasoned veterans from the Burlington music scene, Moonbird covers a wide range of musical genres; from old school artists like Aretha, Little Feat, and NRBQ to contemporary bands like Lake Street Dive and Melt; mixed with a few carefully chosen originals.

Dahlia Dumont~The Blue Dahlia
6pm: The Blue Dahlia is a family of multicultural musicians who accompany Dahlia on both sides of the Atlantic. Their music: lyrics in English and French, French and Mexican accordion, klezmer violin, the warm and joyful rhythms of reggae, blues, and Latin America, the sensual voice of soul and French chanson. Regardless of the lineup, their live shows always explode with energy, taking you on a journey around the world.

Church Street Tavern is Burlington’s go-to destination for casual pub fare and a laid-back social scene. Enjoy mouthwatering classics—from smash-style Tavern Burgers and Philly Cheese Steaks to mussel-rich fish & chips, loaded nachos, wings in bold flavors, hearty wraps, and fresh salads—perfect for any appetite.

The Tenderbellies
6pm: The Tenderbellies are a Vermont-based string band that seamlessly blends Americana, bluegrass, newgrass, jazz, and rock. Their music ranges from bold and brazen to delicate and somber, through tightly arranged songs and improvisational exploration.

Discover a rotating menu of shareable small plates that blend bold flavors and thoughtful creativity: from seared haloumi and sweet harissa chicken wings to braised lamb buns, crispy vegetables, mezze dips, and house-made pita. Vegetarian and vegan options are plentiful, and dishes are perfectly portioned for sharing.

Rachel Ana Dobken
Rachel Ana Dobekn (drums, guitar, vocals, piano, and producer) is a powerhouse musician who studied jazz at Bard College. The Asbury Park, NJ native, described as “My Morning Jacket-meets-Amy Winehouse,” has a knack for blending indie-rock & soul, and has been featured by BTRtoday, Relix Magazine, The Deli Magazine, Substream, Guitar Girl Magazine, Atwood Magazine, New York Times, Asbury Park Press, the Star Ledger, The Aquarian Weekly, and more. Her self-released LP “When It Happens To You” is out now (which she played drums, guitar, piano, and sang) along with a music video for “Always.”

Barbacoa
Barbacoa has been playing original instrumental surf rock in Vermont for over two decades. Led by guitarist/songwriter Bill Mullins, the band has released three albums?, and their music has been used in many television and movie projects. The band also features the instrumental talents of Kirk Flanagan (bass) and Jeremy Fredricks (drums). Barbacoa's sound is inspired by ‘60s artists such as Link Wray and the Ventures, as well as classic spy movie and spaghetti western soundtrack music. They also have a wide-ranging?repertoire of songs from the early decades of rock and roll.

High Summer
High Summer, a Vermont-based nine-piece ensemble, explores the essence of "visceral groove" in their music. Led by the captivating Miriam Bernardo, their original compositions are the heart of their sound, complemented by well-curated covers that showcase the group's dynamic musical exploration. Their soulful melodies, intricate rhythms, and loving vibes come together to deliver performances that leave listeners moved and grooving.

Parking Downtown
Burlington has plenty of parking options for your trip downtown!
- Downtown Garage (41 Cherry St. and 60 College St. entrances): First two hours are FREE, but you must start a parking session on ParkMobile to check in.
- Marketplace Garage (147 Cherry St. and Bank St. entrances)
- Street parking and other private lots
Most street parking and all public garages allow you to pay via ParkMobile, or with coins or a credit card via a kiosk. Sundays are always free throughout the year.
