Driving in Burlington
Exploring Burlington by car? We have a parking page just for you! One of our favorite things about BTV is the lack of major traffic any time of day. Keep an eye out for plenty of stop signs, though! Reminder - Church Street Marketplace is closed to vehicles. You may see delivery trucks in the morning, but the Marketplace is NOT open to public vehicles.
Biking in Burlington
Burlington is a bike-friendly city! Rent a bike with Local Motion or find e-bikes along the Marketplace. Once you make it to the Marketplace, kindly hop off your bike. Biking and skateboarding are not permitted while on the bricks. Need a quick tune-up? Fill your tires and find handy tools at the bike rack in front of Outdoor Gear Exchange at 37 Church St. After you visit the Marketplace, take a ride along the lake on the Burlington Bike Path!
Walking in Burlington
Leave the car at the hotel, and take yourself on a walking tour of Burlington! At just 5 miles across, our little city is completely accessible by foot. In fact, the Marketplace is famously closed to vehicles and is a less than 15-minute walk to the Waterfront, UVM Campus, South End Arts and Business District, and the vibrant Old North End.
Busses in Burlington
Save gas and visit us via bus. Are you coming from out of state? Greyhound will drop you off at our bus station right downtown, just 1 minute away from the Marketplace! If you’re joining us from around the area, Green Mountain Transit will get you to and around Burlington with ease.
