The Church Street Marketplace Team
The Marketplace core team is made up of three main members: Ron Redmond, Mimi Gutchell and Pat Rideout. Other full time employees include Adna Karabegovic, Kim Bookless, Jack Robinson and Jim Daly. Each team member plays an integral role in making sure the Marketplace runs smoothly and our customers, business owners, and visitors have an enjoyable experience. Mimi administers licenses and permits for sidewalk cafes, vendor carts, street entertainers, artisans, special events, parking on Church Street and construction and maintenance work. She also supports and advises the Marketplace’s Licensing Committee regarding vending and fee setting and works with vendor applicants to guide them through the approval process for vendor carts. Additionally Mimi advises the Commission on licensing rules, regulations and approvals of sidewalk cafes and the activities, which may be licensed by the Marketplace Commission.

Pat manages the day-to-day uses of the public right of way, between Main and Pearl Streets and develops and executes logistics for Church Street’s major events and activities, coordinating with Burlington police, fire corporate sponsors.
Pat supervises a maintenance team that is responsible for cleanliness and general upkeep of the Marketplace. The duties associated are snow removal, trash and graffiti removal, pigeon abatement, sweeping and vacuuming, fountain maintenance and repair, maintenance of trash and recycling receptacles, bike racks, light fixtures, etc. Additionally, he manages banner installation and holiday lighting.

Adna works alongside Becky Cassidy in planning Church Street Marketplace events such as the Sidewalk Sale, Marketfest & MarKID'fest, the Halloween Parade and the Lighting Ceremony. She also updates the website and works on small projects with Ron and the rest of the CSM staff. Adna is the editor of Church Street Marketplace's weekly update and delivers it to all of the Church Street Marketplace businesses.
Adna has been with the Church Street Marketplace since May 2007 and attends the University of Vermont where she is majoring in Community International Development and French, minoring in German.Please contact Adna with marketing or events inquiries.
Kim Bookless

Kim works directly with Ron on both strategic and tactical projects including market research, policy, capital improvements and fundraising. She is currently re-designing the Web site, instituting Vermont Fresh Network Membership for Marketplace restaurants and working on a historical improvement project. Past projects have included heading the Vermont National Guard Charitable Foundation Raffle and generating surveys/reports. Kim graduated from Saint Michael’s College in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication and a minor in Religious Studies.
