Historical Walking Tours Explore Burlington's fascinating history with Tom Simon

Meet Tom Simon

From Ethan and Ira Allen to Ben and Jerry, Paine’s Celery Compound to Burton Snowboards, and General O.O. Howard to Howard Dean, Tom Simon leads walking tours that will introduce you to the rich history of Burlington, Vermont - one of the most vibrant and interesting small cities in America. A partner in Burlington’s second-oldest law firm, Tom helped found and served as the first president of Preservation Burlington Inc.

He lives on Spruce Street in an 1899 Queen Anne-style home with his wife, Carolyn, son Nolan (4), daughter Calista (1) and dog, Kensey (15). Tom’s enthusiasm for local history, and a willingness to share his insider’s knowledge with visitors and locals alike, is matched only by his passion for baseball. His publications include Green Mountain Boys of Summer: Vermonters in the Major Leagues, 1881-1993.
