How can I park for free?

Holidays and Sundays

FREE parking is available at most parking destinations on Sundays and Holidays. This includes parking meters on both Saturday and Sunday between Thanksgiving day and Christmas day, thanks to Citizen's Bank and the Department of Public Works.

1,000 additional FREE holiday parking spaces are available during evenings and weekends between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day. Look for the bright yellow sandwich board signs guiding you to participating private and public lots!

Garages

First two hours are FREE at the following four downtown parking garages:

1. Marketplace Municipal Garage (between Bank & Cherry Streets at S. Winooski Ave.)
2. Lakeview/Macy’s Municipal Garage (next to Macy’s on Cherry Street)
3. College Street Municipal Garage (at Hilton Hotel - Enter on College and Battery Streets)
4. Burlington Town Center, privately owned

Remember these garages are FREE on Sundays. Every 1/2 hour after first 2 FREE hours is $1.00. Maximum is $10/day.

Early Bird Tickets

75 Early Bird tickets are sold for $3.00/day at College Street/Hilton Hotel Garage at the College Street entrance beginning at 6:45 a.m. Hurry! Tickets usually sell out by 7:30 a.m.

Commuters: Did you know about the FREE shuttle?

FREE College Street Shuttle between UVM & Waterfront

Runs every 15 minutes between UVM/Fletcher Allen Health Care, Church Street Marketplace and the Waterfront along College Street. Stops all along College Street.

Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. year round
Saturday-Sunday 9 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. May 28 - October 8
Park your Car and Ride the PARC Shuttle to Downtown

Introducing an affordable option for downtown commuters, provided by CCTA. Park t General Dynamic’s lots on Lakeside Ave. off Pine Street. Shuttle runs to Chittenden Bank at St. Paul and Banks Streets next to Burlington Town Center. Riders eligible for Emergency Ride Home Program. Call 802-864-CCTA to purchase PARC Shuttle Pass.
