Downtown Burlington Hospitality Survey

In an effort to better understand the impact of downtown Burlington's hospitality industry, the Church Street Marketplace conducted a study in December, 2004 and January, 2005, in collaboration with Nectar's, Halvorson's Upstreet Café and the Wyndham Hotel Burlington.

Customer Intercept Survey

The customer intercept survey had two ultimate objectives. First to profile the customers that frequent the Church Street Marketplace based on demographic, transportation, primary attraction and favorite events. The second goal of the survey was to investigate customer opinions concerning restaurant variety, shop variety, services variety, family friendly, parking, cleanliness, safety/security and courteous service, on the Marketplace.

Year End Sales Surveys

The Year End Sales Surveys are conducted during the first half of January each year to gain information about the economic situation on Church Street for the previous year.  Respondents are asked to compare fourth quarter and annual sales for the current year to the previous year, the top three sales days of that year and comment on consumer trends and behavior.  They are also asked to express any additional comments or concerns.
