Church Street Goes Green
|
What is the Green Street Advisory Committee?
A Vision for an Environmentally Friendly Future
Our vision for the next 25 years includes Church Street being a "green street," in its capital improvement and operational practices. This vision can be realized in many different ways - from the building materials used for capital improvements, to energy saving street lights and fountains, electric vehicles that pick up trash and plow snow, comprehensive recycling, use of local produce by our dining establishments, composting, kitchen grease converted to bio-diesel, etc.
What does the committee do?
The Green Street Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the Church Street Marketplace Commission and Staff to help achieve our vision of becoming a green street.
