Tips for Keeping Church Street "Green"

- The electric truck, sponsored by All-Cycle Casella, on Church Street.
Recently, the Church Street Marketplace has taken steps to keep our street "green" and reduce our footprint on the environment. Current initiatives include the new recycling program as well as a Green Street Advisory Committee.
What can you do to keep the street "green"?
- Slow down! - Leave a few minutes early for work or your dinner reservations so you're not speeding to get there. Braking constantly and driving over the speed limit can really reduce your fuel efficiency.*
- Bring some friends - If you have a large party heading down to Church Street, try a carpool and have everyone pitch in for gas. Other options include taking public transportation or riding a bike.
- Reduce, re-use, recycle - Try bringing your own tupperware for transporting leftovers or to-go meals. Be consious of the waste you produce; make an effort to use the recycling bins instead of throwing everything in the garbage.
- Bag it - Bring a re-usable bag when shopping on Church Street. It is more convenient to carry one bag than three! Re-usable bags are available at every supermarket, healthy living store, City Market and around your house!
