For these three days the Marketplace transforms into a lively and colorful street festival offering some of the area's greatest entertainment, arts, and crafts.
Shoppers enjoy our Fortune Cookie Sale with discounts of 10% - 40%, and receive a free StowePoints Card (from Stowe Mountain Resort) with all purchases of $25 or more at any participating business (limit of 8 per person). Receipts must be for valid promotional dates; September 5th - October 5th and include the participating store name. Multiple, valid receipts accepted toward the maximum card limit.
New for the 08-09 season: "SAVE WHAT YOU SPEND SEASON PASS OFFER." For each dollar you spend at participating businesses, bring your valid receipts to Stowe Mountain Resort's Season Pass office before October 11, 2008 and receive up to $350.00 off of an Adult StoweSeven+, StoweSeven or StoweSix season pass. This offer cannot be combined with any other passes or promotions. Receipts must be for valid promotional dates (September 5th - October 5th), and include the participating store name. Multiple valid receipts accepted toward the maximum discount limit.
Also make sure to LOOK FOR THE GOLDEN GOGGLES during this great offer! Stowe-branded Golden Goggles will be hidden in select participating businesses during the month long promotion of Marketfest. A hanging tag on the goggles will instruct people to take a picture of themselves with the goggles and text or e-mail the photo to goggles@stowe.com. Shoppers are then automatically entered into a drawing to win a SECRET Stowe prize.
Friday night will feature a crowd-pleasing musical performance by Woods Tea Comany. Saturday is the 8th annual Marketfest Craft Fair, featuring Vermont crafters and their products only! Artisans will unveil a variety of wares including glass blown and hand made jewelry, pottery, quilts, copper crafts and much more from 10:00a.m. - 6:00p.m. on the Mall Block of the Church Street Marketplace.
Weekend entertainment includes acoustic performances by Mike Martin and Trio Gusto, Longford Row, Crossing North, The Swingin Vermont Big Band, Dentdelion and the Green Mountain Chorus. Children will enjoy our Sunday, MarKID'fest events featuring kid-friendly entertainment by: Gigi and Joni, Matthew Witten, Gary Dulabaum, The UVM Dance Team, The United Celtic Dancers of Vermont and an exciting treasure hunt.
